performance varies. I can see daily things no other social can provide like the one below by @kenjiquest or taverns etc.

One point of feedback we got on the Snapchain design doc is that we didn't fully explain why sync in the current model is a problem.

Looking for feedback on this iteration for channels
The single biggest remaining complaint is people feeling like the pre-existing, large, topic based channels like /food or /founders should be more accesible.
It will also reduce work for channel mods who don't want to have to approve every single person who wants to cast in their channel, but are OK giving up some control of who (and they can always invite someone to be a member to guarantee it).
Curious:
1. Would you turn this on or off for your channel?
2. Any concerns?

i'd never quote-cast the same thing across different channels.
it’s better to pick the right channel for each cast — it keeps your profile cleaner, doesn’t feel like spamming, and gives a break to those with notifications on.

4. We changed the way channels work to shift them from hashtags to communities.
5. If you’re annoyed by the changes, just cast in your home feed. You’re not missing out on distribution or discovery casting in a channel.

4. There are plenty of channels experimenting with token and NFT gating.
5. I'll repeat: *there is no distribution boost to casting in a channel*. It's strictly if you want to take the time to start building relationships in that community (which you can start today by replying to any cast in the channel).
6. A generic topic / hashtag like #ai, #food, #founders is not a community. It's an attempt at boosting distribution. And we're specifically not boosting distribution. So casting in your home feed (to your followers) will get you the same distribution to people who already choose to follow you.

Connecting my Twitter to FC sets a very powerful precedent.
